This morning Apple announced a bunch of new products. The first one being the MacBook Air 2020. The design is exactly the same if you're to look at both of them side-by-side but there are some really important updates to make the newer version significantly better first.

MacBook Air 2020

They switch the keyboard from butterfly switches to actual scissor switches. This is gonna make the typing experience a lot more comfortable longer travel distance. So, one millimeter and the event of the scissor switches braking is less likely compared to the butterfly switches.

The other thing is the arrow keys, you're no longer gonna have Old Macbook Air style of arrow keys but they're gonna be inverted making it much easier to use. Speakers also being improved, Apples calling them an advanced stereo system. they're not gonna be as good as the MacBook Pro 16 speakers but they should sound better than the current MacBook Air 2019.

Touchpads going to be the same bezels, on the display are going to be the same we're not getting mini LED. It's still gonna be 13.3 inches. you are getting 3 microphones this time So, that should help with FaceTime calling but the most important thing is the processors, that are going inside of here there's still Y Series but they're using the tenth Gen Intel isolate processors. This is a big update for a couple of reasons, Thunderbolt 3 becomes better So like you could technically hook this up to a high refresh display and you'll be able to take advantage of it.

The other thing is performance this is the first time we're getting a quad-core option on a MacBook Air. you can still bite into a core if you go for the cheaper i3 model but if you want quad-core you can pay extra for the i5 or i7 and really increase the performance of this laptop. The beauty of this is even though these are newer processors the wattage that they're rated at is 9 watts compared to 5 on the previous generation. that means these processors can work harder to give you better performance, compared to before but they also come with Intel's iris plus graphics and compared to the previous generation of Intel UHD integrated graphics.
It offers a huge performance increase Apple saying about 80% probably there right. but it will make a difference if you're editing video and Final Cut Pro which is something you can actually do now on the MacBook Air combined with the brand-new t2 chip inside of here. if it can take advantage of that it will help offload some of those processes. This Macbook Air will finally become a decent option for video editing and It means like casual 1080p light 4k video editing if you opt for the four core variants of this product.

Apple iPad Pro 2020

Then there's the iPad Pro and this also got some key updates. first being two cameras on the back you now get a wide and ultra-wide and whether you need this or not at least you have it. I'm expecting it to be the exact same cameras as the iPhone 11. So pretty good photography is pretty good for a video you can shoot 4k 60fps.

This is crazy on an iPad now there are not changing the design like the same bezels the same look the same feeling you can buy the 11 inches for $799 or pay more and get the 12.9 inches they are improving the processor eight 12z.

Which is much more powerful than the previous generation 8 CPU cores and 8 GPU cores. Now the crazy thing is you're getting 5 mics on this to put this in perspective. The MacBook Pro 16 has 3 mics apples calling those mics studio-quality.

They're good I wouldn't call them studio quality but this one the iPad pro is getting 5. So I'm expecting the microphones on this should be better than the MacBook Pro 16.
Apple Lidar Scanner Getotheoffer

"LiDar" Which is a scanning technology that Apple is implementing into their iPads. This is more aimed towards augmented reality you can shoot at up to five meters, which will help scan objects and place them in the image of your shot based on the examples. We've seen on the Apple video it's supposed to be instantaneous developers, Who are working on AR-related applications can tap into this API use the lidar technology to enhance their AR applications. Wow, it's really bonkers is the fact that Apple's introducing touchpad or proper touchpad support with the next version of iOS 13.4 and with that they're releasing new magic bored to go with the iPad pro.
Apple New Ipad Keyboard Getotheoffer

This magic keyboard has touchpad rumors are true you're going to get a touchpad with your iPad Pro and they're doing this by improving the software like when you move your finger on the touchpad it's going to be able to highlight text and move the cursor around a lot more naturally than the accessibility option.

Apple New Ipad Keyboard 2020

That's currently implemented in this version of the iPad and for those of "you out there saying oh they're doing the wrong thing there they're missing the whole point it's a tablet" No:") it's supposed to be everything.

Everything you want it to be to fit into your workflow to make your life easier. you want to use this as a tool for creativity that you don't need the keyboard by the Apple pencil and draw your heart's content but if you're someone who's working in both worlds from a productive document standpoint that needs to switch out to do something more creative, like edit a video or edit a photo. you can do that and that's the whole point of the iPad however, I don't welcome the price of this new magic keyboard $300 that's expensive to put this in perspective. you can buy a lot of nice or good Chromebooks for that price point.

So, The big question becomes do you buy the iPad pro $800 plus $300 which equals a thousand bucks making it the same price as the entry-level MacBook Air? or do you buy the MacBook Air? I'm curious to know which one you guys would prefer in the comments below!
